Effective Date: January 1, 2022
- Limited Repair Warranty
ProPhonez provides a 90-day limited warranty on replacement parts supplied by ProPhonez and the workmanship performed during the repair.
This warranty covers:
• A defective replacement part
• Installation-related problems
• Repair workmanship issues
• The same problem returning under normal use when directly related to the completed repair
All warranty claims require inspection and approval by ProPhonez.
- Screen Repair Warranty
Screen bleeding, black spots, coloured lines, flickering, touch problems or display discolouration may result from either a defective replacement screen or new physical damage.
Reporting a problem does not automatically establish the cause or qualify the repair for a refund. The device must be returned to ProPhonez for inspection.
If the inspection determines that the replacement screen or installation is defective, ProPhonez will repair or replace the affected part at no additional charge.
- Damage Not Covered
The warranty does not cover problems caused after the device has been returned to the customer, including:
• Drops, impacts or cracked glass
• Pressure applied to the screen
• Bending, twisting or frame damage
• Screen bleeding caused by physical or pressure damage
• Liquid or moisture exposure
• Damage caused by a case, accessory or improper installation
• Tampering, opening or repair by another person or business
• Accidental damage, misuse or improper handling
• New damage unrelated to the original repair
• Pre-existing damage documented before the repair
• Damage to customer-supplied parts
- Inspection at Pickup
Customers are encouraged to inspect and test their device before leaving, including the screen, touch response, cameras, speakers, buttons and charging functions where applicable.
Customer acceptance confirms that the device was returned in the condition observed at pickup. This confirmation does not remove any rights provided by applicable Ontario law.
ProPhonez may take photographs or videos before and after a repair to document the device’s condition and completed testing.
- Warranty Claim Procedure
To submit a warranty claim, the customer must:
• Contact ProPhonez as soon as the problem is discovered
• Stop using or applying pressure to the affected area
• Provide the original receipt or repair information
• Return the device to ProPhonez for inspection
• Allow reasonable time for diagnosis and testing
ProPhonez cannot approve a warranty claim based only on photographs, videos, messages or a verbal description.
- Repairs and Refunds
Completed repair services are generally non-refundable once the repair has been successfully performed and the device has been returned to the customer.
For an approved warranty claim, ProPhonez’s primary remedy will be to:
• Reperform the repair
• Correct the workmanship issue
• Replace the defective covered part
A cash refund is not automatically provided because a problem is reported after pickup.
If ProPhonez confirms that the issue is covered but cannot reasonably correct it, ProPhonez may refund the amount paid for the affected repair or provide another remedy required by applicable law.
Diagnostic fees, completed labour and special-order parts are non-refundable unless otherwise required by law or ProPhonez determines that the original service was not properly completed.
- Data and Device Responsibility
Customers are responsible for backing up their data before service. ProPhonez is not responsible for data loss resulting from an existing device condition, software failure or the repair process, except where responsibility cannot legally be excluded.
- Statutory Rights
This policy does not limit any non-waivable rights or remedies available under Ontario consumer-protection law.
